An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure

Anyone else have a grandmother who used to say this?

I mean, me neither. Mine smoked 3 packs of Salems a day, worked in a factory, ate fried everything, and drank and cursed like a sailor. But some of you probably had less cool grandmas who rattled off old lines and cliches like this. So, how can you prevent the coronavirus? Or can you?

To be clear, you can’t PREVENT the COVID-19 virus by doing much of anything other than living in a cave somewhere, completely sheltered from society. But you sure can live a healthier lifestyle, boost your immune system, and put yourself in a better position to fight off the effects.

According to this article in the International Business Times, here are some tips:

1> NUTRIENTS! You know where you can get lots of healthy, immune boosting, virus fighting nutrients? Food. Fresh, quality, natural FOOD. Veggies. Fruits. Nuts. Seeds. Berries. Walk into the grocery store, and head straight for the produce section.

2> STRESS! A little is okay, a lot is not. Exercise, meditate, spend quality time with loved ones. Take your dog for a walk (they always love you).

3> SLEEP! Perhaps my personal favorite. Get on a regular schedule, shut off the devices at night, and don’t drink that last cup of coffee at 8pm.
